The Identification section of the Master tab displays the basic details of an asset including the details such as asset usage, asset snapshot, life cycle cost, open work order, last PM/SA, last meter reading, and the parent details.
With required permission, you can modify or update the details of an asset by using the Edit Identification link.
Tip
To view the Identification section, click the Identification link.
1. Search and view an asset record that you want to edit.
2. On the Master tab, in the Identification section, click the Edit Identification link.
3. In the Edit Asset Identification dialog box, make the required changes.
Note: · If you select the availability setting as 24 Hours and the 24 Hours Available column is marked as Yes, both the Start Time and End Time columns display 12:00 AM. · In the Vendor Asset Number box, type the asset number as identified by the vendor. · In the Fuel Card Number box, type the fuel card number assigned to the asset. · In the Comment box, type a brief description about the asset. The comment is visible when a work order is created for the asset. |
4. Click one of the following:
o Save to save the information and close the dialog box.
o Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.
The Edit Asset Identification dialog box lets you add the usage codes to an asset.
1. Search and view an asset record.
2. In the Identification section of the Master tab, click the Edit Identification link.
3. In the Edit Asset Identification dialog box, select the usage codes in the Available Usage Codes section.
4. Click Add to add the selected usage codes to the asset.
Note: You can use the Add All, Remove, and Remove All buttons to add or remove usage codes from an asset. |
5. Click Save to complete the action.
The Edit Asset Identification dialog box lets you add an to the asset.
1. Search and view an asset record.
2. In the Identification section of the Master tab, click the Edit Identification link.
3. In the Edit Asset Identification dialog box, click Select next to the Asset field.
4. Navigate to the location of the that you want to add, and then click Open.
5. Click Save.
Note: Click Clear to clear the selected. |
The asset is displayed in the Identification section under Snapshot Glance.
With the required permission, you can remove the added to an asset.
1. Search and view an asset record.
2. In the Identification section of the Master tab, click the Edit Identification link.
3. In the Edit Asset Identification dialog box, click Remove next to the Currently Displayed field.
4. Click Save to complete the action.
