Fuel markup is a fixed percentage or certain amount of money added to the unit cost of fuel in order to determine the price of fuel transactions. The markup types in FASTER Web are department, dispenser, fuel type, and general. The Fuel Markup Setup page lets you define and manage the markup settings of these markup types.
Configuring and managing fuel markup settings include the following:
Tip
To view the Fuel Markup Setup page, click the Fuel Markup Setup link.
2. In the Application Setup section, do one of the following:
§ Click next to the Fuel option, and then click Settings.
§ In the Fuel section of Application Setup, click the Settings link.
The Manual Entry & Fuel Import Settings page opens.
3. Click the View link next to Fuel Markup Setup.
The Fuel Markup Setup page opens.
The Add Fuel Settings dialog box lets you define a new markup setting for a markup type.
Tip
To view the Add Fuel Settings dialog box, click the Add Fuel Settings link.
1. Open the Fuel Markup Setup page.
2. Click Add New Item.
The Add Fuel Settings dialog box opens.
3. In the Markup Type list, select a markup type.
The values of the selected markup type are populated in the Available Values box. For example, if you select Department as markup type, all the department names in FASTER Web are populated in the Available Values box.
4. Do the following:
§ To add value, select the value in the Available Values box and click .
§ To add all the values, click .
§ To remove value, select the value in the Selected Values box and click .
§ To remove all the values, click .
5. In the Markup Value list, select Percentage or Cost/ Gallon.
6. In the Markup Amount box, type the markup amount or percentage.
Note: You can select the Is Current? check box to apply the selected markup value. On selecting the Is Current? check box, the previous markup setting, if any, becomes obsolete.
7. Click one of the following
§ Save to save the information and close the dialog box.
§ Save & New to save the information and add another record.
§ Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.
The Edit Fuel Settings dialog box lets you make the markup setting obsolete or available.
Tip
To view the Edit Fuel Settings dialog box, click the Edit Fuel Settings link.
1. Open the Fuel Markup Setup page.
2. Click the View link next to a markup type.
The Edit Fuel Settings page opens.
3. Clear the Is Current? check box to make the markup obsolete.
Note: After making the markup obsolete, you can select the Is Current? check box to make the markup available, as required.
4. When finished, do one of the following:
§ Save to save the information and close the dialog box.
§ Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.
