From the Fuel Road Tax Setup page, you can configure and manage fuel road tax for different fuel sites/dispensers, and the date and time from when the configured tax amount will be effective.
Configuring and managing fuel cost setting includes the following:
· Searching Fuel Road Tax Settings
· Adding Fuel Road Tax Settings
· Editing Fuel Road Tax Settings
Tip
To view the Fuel Road Tax Setup page, click the Fuel Road Tax Setup link.
2. In the Application Setup section, do one of the following:
§ Click next to the Fuel option, and then click Settings.
§ In the Fuel section of Application Setup, click the Settings link.
3. Click the View link next to Fuel Road Tax Setup.
The Fuel Road Tax Setup page opens.
The Search Fuel Road Tax section lets you find the already configured fuel road tax settings in FASTER Web. The search grid display records matching the search value anywhere in the Fuel Site/Dispenser, Fuel Type, Effective Start Date/Time, and Effective End Date/Time.
Tip
To view the Search Fuel Road Tax section, click the Search Fuel Road Tax link.
1. Open the Fuel Road Tax Setup page
2. In the Search Fuel Road Tax section, select Fuel Site/Dispenser, Fuel Type, Effective Start Date/Time, or Effective End Date/Time.
3. Select the Include Obsoleted Road Tax check box to see obsoleted fuel road tax records. By default, this check box is not selected and the system displays only active road tax records.
4. Click Search.
A search grid with matching results is displayed.
The Add Fuel Settings dialog box lets you add fuel road tax settings in cost per unit or in percentage, for fuel sites/dispensers.
Note: For a fuel site/dispenser, you can not configure a fuel road tax setting which falls in the range of Effective Start Date/Time to Effective End Date/Time of an already configured fuel road tax setting.
Tip
To view the Add Fuel Settings dialog box, click the Add Fuel Settings link.
1. Open the Fuel Road Tax Setup page
2. In the Picklist section, click Add New Item .
The Add Fuel Settings dialog box opens.
3. In the Select a Fuel Site / Dispenser list, select a fuel site to add fuel road tax.
Note: The fuel type for the selected fuel site is displayed under Fuel Type label.
4. In the Tax Type list, select from Cost/Unit and Percentage.
5. In the Tax Amount box, type the fuel road tax to be charged.
6. In the Effective Start Date/Time box, select a date and time from when the new cost is effective, by clicking on the calendar and clock icons respectively.
7. In the Effective End Date/Time box, select a date and time until when the new cost is effective, by clicking on the calendar and clock icons respectively.
8. In the Unit of Measure list, select a unit of measure for the road tax amount.
9. Click one of the following:
§ Save to save the information and close the dialog box.
§ Save & New to save the information and add new fuel road tax setting.
§ Cancel to disregard changes and close the dialog box.
The Edit Fuel Settings dialog box lets you edit the fuel road tax settings such as, Tax Amount, Tax Type, Effective Start Date/Time, Effective End Date/Time, and Unit Measure, whenever required. In Edit Fuel Settings, you can also obsolete a fuel road tax setting when the fuel site or fuel dispenser is no longer used in FASTER Web.
Note: You can not edit Fuel Site, Fuel Dispenser, and Fuel Type, once configured.
Tip
To view the Edit Fuel Settings dialog box, click the Edit Fuel Settings link.
Open the Fuel Road Tax Setup page.
In the Picklist section, click Edit link next to a setting that you want to edit. Alternatively, search for a setting and then click edit.
The Edit Fuel Settings page opens.
Click one of the following:
§ Save to save the information and close the dialog box.
§ Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.
§ Make Value Obsolete to make the fuel road tax setting obsolete or Make Value Available if it is already obsoleted.
Note: · The Make Value Obsolete link is active only if the Status of the road tax setting is Available. · The Make Value Available link is active only if the Status of the road tax setting is Obsolete. When activating an obsoleted road tax setting, the system checks for any overlaps in the Effective Start Date/Time to Effective End Date/Time range in the existing records. In case of an overlap, do one of the following.
· For an obsoleted road tax value, no fields are editable in the Edit Fuel Settings window. To edit, first activate the value by clicking Make Value Available. |
