After successfully deploying the integration on the SSIS server, you must configure the import settings such as Export File Location, Process Folder Path and FASTER Web API credentials to successfully execute the integration.
Note: Upon successful deployment of the Asset Alerts Import via XML Add-on on the SSIS server, the Configuration Setup dialog box automatically opens. To configure the settings later, click the Setup link in the Action column of the integration.

Note on Folder Paths · You must provide folder paths for the configuration of this import. It is recommended that you use a shared folder for each folder path. You must provide specific, unique values for each folder path required in the Asset Alerts Import via XML setup. · The Asset Alerts Import via XML Add-on runs on the SSIS Server, if you use a drive letter to identify any of the folder paths on the Asset Alerts Import via XML setup, the import references the folder on the SSIS Server. · The user created as per the Configuration_of_SSIS section > Create_SSIS_Admin_user_login_using_SSMS step needs to be granted Read/Write permission on the folders configured in the Asset Alerts Import via XML setup. · The Network Location Path is a required field for all Export File Location options. · All folder paths listed below must map to unique folders: § Network Path Location § Process Folder Path § Working Folder Path · To continue with this section, you must have the credentials of a FASTER Web API User. Verify FASTER Web user web.api exists with the Web Api User set to Yes. (Setup > Administrative Setup > Manage Security > Users > Add User/ View > Edit Identification.) |
1. Click the Integrations module.
The Integrations Console page opens. The Integration Console page lists only the purchased integration add-ons.
2. In the Action column, click Setup.
The Configuration Setup dialog box opens.
3. In the Export File Location box, type one of the following options from which you want the integration to fetch the XML files containing alert records.
§ Network Location
§ FTP
§ SFTP
Note: The Export File Location box accepts uppercase and lowercase letters.
§ If the Export File Location is set as FTP or SFTP, it is mandatory to provide the following information in order to download the export files from FTP or SFTP:
i. In the Server Host Name/IP Address box, type the host name or the IP address of the FTP or SFTP server.
ii. In the SFTP Server Username box, type the user name to connect to the FTP or SFTP server.
iii. In the SFTP Server Password box, type the password to connect to the FTP or SFTP server.
Note: If the SFTP user name and password are validated in the first attempt, you can leave the password box blank while modifying the settings. However, if you change the user name, you must validate the password.
iv. In the SFTP Server Port box, type the FTP or SFTP port number.
v. In the SFTP Directory Location box, type the directory path of FTP or SFTP to download the export file.
§ If the Export File Location is set as Network Location, it is mandatory to provide the Network Location Path where the export files are located.
§ In the Network Location Path box, type the network location path where the XML files are located.
Note: If the Export File Location is FTP or SFTP, this is the location from where the export files are downloaded.
4. In the Process Folder Path box, type a folder location where the export files are moved after they are processed by the integration.
Note: When setting the Process Folder Path for the Asset Alerts Import via XML Add-on, it is recommended you use a network location to capture processed files. If you use folder on a local drive letter as the Processed Folder Path, the files will be saved to that path on the SSIS Server.
5. In the File name Prefix box, type a prefix for the XML filename.
6. The value of the FASTER Web API URL field is a prepopulated value which is based on the FASTER Web URL name that is displayed in the browser and the virtual directory value of the FASTER Web API. The URL may be displayed in the following format: <<http/https: Hostname OR IP Address OR Domain/ FASTER Web API application name >>
7. In the FASTER Web API Username box, type the user name of FASTER Web API.
8. In the FASTER Web API Password box, type the password of FASTER Web API.
Note: · If the FASTER Web API user name and password are validated at the first attempt, you can leave the password box blank while modifying the settings. However, if you change the user name, you must validate the password. · The SSIS Server details are automatically populated in the Configuration Setup dialog box. If the user name and password are validated earlier, you can leave the password box blank while modifying the settings. However, if you change the user name, you must validate the password. |
9. In the Export File Split Count box, type the number of records to import at a time.
The utility will process the number of records until all the records of the file are processed. FASTER recommends you set this value to 500 as this improves the performance of the import. Setting this to 0 will process all of the records at once.
10. In the # of Files in Batch box, type the number of import files to be processed during a single run.
Note: Using this field, you can limit the number of import files to be processed in a single run while importing multiple files from the Network Location Path folder.
11. In the Working Folder Path box, type a folder location where the working files are copied and moved while processing the import.
12. Click one of the following:
§ Save to save the information and close the dialog box.
§ Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.
