Persons are those who are associated with FASTER Web in various forms such as employees, customers, technicians, and drivers. A person record must be first added in FASTER Web in order to be converted to a FASTER Web user or technician as required.
From the Manage Persons page, you can perform the following actions:

To view the Manage Persons page, click the Manage Persons link.
1. Click the Setup module.
2. In the Administrative Setup section, do one of the following:
§ Click next to the Manage Security option, and then click Persons.
§ In the Manage Security section of Administrative Setup, click the Persons link.
The Manage Persons page opens.
Navigation Tips: · To expand or collapse the grids in the search window, click to the right of the title bars. · To move the grids in the search window, drag a grid to a desired location. To save the position of the grid, click the icon. The position of the grids will be the same next time you open the search window. · To group person records by active directory, select Active Directory in the Group By list. |
The Search Persons section of the Manage Persons page lets you search a person record in FASTER Web.
Open the Manage Persons page.
In the Search Persons section, specify the following search parameters, as required:
§ In the Person's Name box, type the person's name.
§ In the City box, type the name of the person's city.
§ In the Title box, type the person's role/ designation.
§ In the Employee Number box, type the person's employee number.
§ In the Vendor Employee Number box, type the person's employee number that is assigned by the vendor. .
§ In the State/Province/Region box, type the vendor's state or province or region.
Note: If you are sure about the person's name or employee number, provide the name or employee number, and then select the Exact Match check box to display the exact person record.
3. Click Search.
The Search Results grid displays the following information:
§ Person's Name
§ Title
§ Primary Phone
§ Active Directory
The Add Person dialog box lets you add a new person record in FASTER Web.
Tip
To view the Add Person dialog box, click the Add Person link.
Open the Manage Persons page.
Click the Add New Person link.
The Add Person dialog box opens.
In the First Name, Last Name and MI boxes, type the person's first name, last name, and middle initials, respectively.
In the Time Zone list, select the time zone based on the person's location.
In the Title box, type the person's salutation such as Mr./Ms. or person's role such as driver, technician as applicable.
Note: You can also provide the following information, as required: · In the Address box, type the person's address. · In the Country list, select the country of the person. · In the City box, type the name of the person's city. · In the State/Province/Region list, select the State/Province/Region. · In the Zip Code box, type the postal zip code. · In the Email box, type the person's email address. · In the Primary Phone and Alternate Phone boxes, type the respective phone numbers along with their extensions. · In the Mobile Phone box, type the mobile phone number for the person to receive system-generated text messages related to the asset if the person is added as an asset contact. · In the Mobile Carrier (required for Text Notifications) list, select the mobile network service provider. · In the Fax box, type the Fax number. · In the Employer box, type the person's employer name. · In the Employee Number box, type the person's employee number. · In the Vendor Employee Number box, type the person's employee number that is assigned by the vendor. |
Click one of the following:
§ Save to save the information and close the dialog box.
§ Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.
Note: If the Authentication Provider is enabled:

The Edit Person dialog box lets you update the person details.

To view the Edit Person dialog box, click the Edit Person link.
1. Open the Manage Persons page.
2. Click the Edit link next to the person's name.
The Edit Person dialog box opens.
3. Make changes as required.
4. Click one of the following:
§ Save to save the information and close the dialog box.
§ Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.
