Inventory Order Recommendation Report

Purpose

This report lists all items, by vendor, that might need to be ordered, based on the in-stock quantity being less than or equal to the Reorder Level set on the item. Use this report to:

• Review recommended order information on all items needing to be stocked.
• Provide orders to selected vendors.
• Review re-stocking performance of items personnel.
• View items needing a default vendor.

Provides

• The report is intended to show which stocked items need restocking. It only displays items in A status, that are designated as stocked items and have a high level set greater than the reorder point.
• Items are grouped by vendor with vendor contact information displayed at the beginning of each vendor.
• Items with no vendor are listed first in the report under the vendor “undefined.” 
• Item number and description, last date used and YTD issues, alternate item number, unit cost, stocking levels, current quantity in stock, quantity already on order and/or backorder, and quantity needed to bring the in stock quantity up to the high level set on the item.

• The QTY ON ORDER, QTY IN STOCK and QTY NEEDED columns display the result of actual quantity divided by the Unit Multiplier defined in the Inventory module.

Running the Report

Steps to view a report

1. Click the Reports tab.

The Standard window opens.

2. In the Inventory section, click Inventory Order Recommendation Report.

3. In the new window, select or enter the appropriate parameters.

Required parameters are indicated by an *.

4. Click on the View Report button.
5. Page through the document using the controls in the upper left.
6. Search by a keyword using the Find/Next box at the top of the screen.
7. To update the information on the page, click the Refresh button at the top right of the screen.  

Exporting the Report

Steps to export a report to another program

1. Click the Export button.
2. Select the appropriate format.

This will generate a File dialogue box specific to your computer.
